If you are trying to cut costs for your wedding then a really simple idea is to make simple yet cheap wedding favors. These elegant wedding favors take just a few items to assemble and will work with any wedding theme. Cut the tulle into 6″ x 6″ squares. You can find tulle in 6 inch wide spools or by the bolt. Spools will be quicker to cut since they are normally 6 inches wide but purchasing by the bolt may be more economical. A spool that is 6 inches wide by 25 yards will make approximately 150 wedding favors. Tulle can also be purchased in pre-cut circles. Either will work beautifully. Fill with candy. Place a few pieces of candy in the center of each square. Popular choices are foil wrapped chocolate bells, foil wrapped Dove hearts (great for a Valentine’s Day wedding them) and candy coated almonds.
