How Do You Make Silly Putty Slime?
Kids enjoy playing with toy “slime” that is commercially available at many stores because of the “gross” factor. With a simple recipe, kids can make their own slime for much less money and have even more fun making it. In addition, they can choose whatever color they want, or they can make multiple colors of slime. This is an easy project that can be done very quickly, and kids can play with the slime for hours afterward. Mix the white glue with 4 oz. of water in the bowl. Add two or three drops of food coloring and mix well. You also can combine colors to make new colors. Combine all the colors to make brown. Mix the borax with just enough water to make it pourable. Add half the borax mixture to the glue mixture and stir rapidly for two minutes. If the slime is not thick enough, add more borax mixture until you have the desired consistency. Store the slime in a sealed plastic bag.
