How Do You Make Silly Putty For Kids?
Silly Putty is a popular toy for young children. The official Silly Putty has been around for nearly 60 years. Kids love to twist, snap, squeeze and stretch this strange material. You can make it even more exciting by helping your child make his very own Silly Putty. All you need is two ingredients and about five minutes of your time. Put a half-cup of glue in the bowl. Add a quarter-cup of liquid starch to the same bowl. Mix the two ingredients together until it reaches an even consistency. Let it dry for five minutes. Check the consistency after five minutes. If it is too thin, add a 1/2 tsp. of glue and mix. If it is too thick, add a 1/4 tsp. and mix. The level of humidity affects how the putty will turn out, so it may take a bit of tinkering to get it just right.
