Shadow boxes are a great way to preserve memories and create unique pieces for your home decor. They make great gifts for holidays and occasions like weddings and birthdays. With a the proper tools and supplies you can create your own shadow boxes for scrapbooking and your friends. Cut your strips of wood until you have four equal lengths for the frame of your box. Recommend strips of wood are 1 inch thick by 3 inches wide. Connect wood strips together at each corner by placing some wood glue on one end and hammering two nails from the outer side. You nails should be at least an inch longer then the front piece of wood you are pounding through. Place wooden frame on top of a thick piece of cardboard and cut cardboard to size with a carpenter’s knife. Using some wood glue, place beads of glue along outside edge of wood frame.
