How Do You Make Semi-Homemade Biscotti Treats?

0

Having friends over for coffee? Need a nifty dessert idea for a potluck dinner? Planning on giving homemade goodies for Christmas treats? This easy semi-homemade recipe is for you. Using a sharp knife, chop chocolate almond bark into chunks about 1 inch. Place chunks into a microwave safe bowl. Be sure not to introduce any water into the bowl. Water will cause melted chocolate to “seize” making it unworkable. Stir melted chocolate every 30 seconds until the chocolate is 80% melted. The remaining chocolate will melt upon stirring. Dip bottom third of the biscotti into the melted chocolate. Let excess chocolate drip off the bottom for a thick coating OR gently wipe off excess chocolate against the rim of the bowl for a thinner coating. Let chocolate dipped biscotti treat dry (about 20 to 30 minutes). After the treats are dry they can be stored in an airtight container or placed into small treat bags tied with a ribbon for gift giving.
