How Do You Make Sampaguita Perfume?
Sampaguita flowers are famous for their sweet, tropical notes. They are also famous for being the national flower of the Philippines and for being in many French perfumes. While you may need to go to a specialty floral shop to find these flowers or to grow your own, the exquisite perfume that you can create with them is well worth your time and energy. Put your Sampaguita flower, orchid flower and ylang-ylang flowers in a saucepan 2/3 full of distilled water. Bring to a boil on a hot stove. Strain the flowers and set the fragrant water in a bowl to cool. Mix 1/4 cup vodka with 2 1/2 tablespoons of your flower water. If you have essential oils in the flower scents, add a few drops to heighten the strength of the fragrance. Let stand for 2 days to 1 week. Pour into the perfume bottle of your choice.
