How Do You Make Resin Paper Mache Paste?
Resin paper mache paste gives a very hard finish to paper mache projects. It is excellent for making large paper mache crafts such as furniture, bowls, wall art, etc. Your kids will enjoy making this resin paper mache paste as much as they will enjoy using it for their crafts. This recipe makes about 1 pint of resin paper mache paste. Step 1 Gather the following ingredients to make resin paper mache paste: 1/2 cup wheat flour (not self rising), 1/4 cup powdered resin glue, 1/2 cup warm water, 1 plus 1/2 cups hot water, 4 drops of cinnamon oil. Step 2 Mix the flour and resin glue in a saucepan. Step 3 Make a paste by adding 1/2 cup of warm water and mixing well. Step 4 Add the hot water while stirring vigorously to prevent lumps. Step 5 Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick, clear and smooth. Step 6 Add the cinnamon oil to act as a preservative. If you are using the resin paper mache paste right away, you do not need the cinnamon oil. Step 7 Store the paper
