The costumes in these stores are very expensive and the point is to save money. You want to use mostly things around the house and the things you do buy that I explain in a later step you will purchase at discount stores like Wal-Mart, Dollar General and Dollar Tree. The next step is to look around the house while thinking of how ways to be creative. An obvious example would be using a sheet to wear as a ghost. Some other ideas would be gathering old costume jewelry to wear as a princess, a yellow raincoat to make a duck, a fur coat to go as an animal.
