How Do You Make Quick And Easy Play Dough?
You can easily make an at-home version of the commercially available children’s creative medium in as big or small quantities as you’d like. Several recipes exist, but what follows is the easiest and fastest version that doesn’t sacrifice quality. Adjust the ingredients proportionately to make more of less play dough. Place the flour, water, cream of tarter, oil and salt into a pot and mix it thoroughly. Place the pot on the stove over medium heat. Stir the mixture while it heats. Pour a couple of drops of food coloring into the mixture. The more drops you add, the darker the color. Continue to mix the dough until it is nearly smooth. Remove the pot from the stove. When it is cool enough to handle, pour the dough onto a floured surface. Also, flour your hands, so the dough does not stick to them. Knead the dough until it is completely smooth. Divide the dough into separate zip-top sandwich bags, so that each child has his own bag, and store them in the refrigerator when not in use.
