How Do You Make Pure White Buttercream Frosting?
This frosting recipe is perfect for any type of cake. I have used it to make a two tier mother’s day cake for my mom before. It makes enough for a three tier cake plus decorations. The food coloring blends really well with this frosting, giving you very nice colors. In a large mixing bowl, cream the salt and the shortening until smooth. Add the sugar one cup at a time, mixing after each cup. Then add the vanilla and butter extracts. Mix well. Slowly add the water while you mix and the corn syrup. Beat on high speed for 20 minutes then beat on low for two more minutes.
