Looking for a tasty Cracker Dip or Bread Spread that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg (have you bought Hummus lately? 😉 This one is not only tasty, it is Super Healthy/High Protein, Quick AND cheap! (Yeah, if it offered World Peace ** it would be perfect 🙂 Drain the can of Garbanzos (you can cook your own Garbanzos, but be forewarned: it takes HOURS!)and pour into your Blender or Food Processor. (Save the bean water in case you need moisture to blend.) Add fresh, washed Basil Leaves- 1 to 2 cups, depending on your preference (and availability of Basil) or 4 tsp Dry Basil. Add Fresh or Dried Garlic to taste. (Start with one clove fresh, add more if you- AND your Loved Ones Agree 😉 Add 4 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil and blend until smooth. (Adding back some of that nutrient-rich bean water if needed.) Enjoy the Taste/Nutrition/High Protein/Low Price and Ease! This mixture can be frozen, stir well if it separates. If refrigerated, use it up in a few days as it’s high protein content
