This preservative will prevent any newspaper clipping from turning yellow as long as you keep the clipping out of direct sunlight! Pour 1 quart of warm club soda into a large bowl. Drop one tablet of milk of magnesia into the club soda and let it sit overnight to dissolve. Place the cookie sheet on a flat surface. Then pour in 1/4 inch of preservative solution. Place newspaper clippings in liquid and let set until thoroughly saturated. About a minute! Using a spatula, remove the clipping keeping it flat. Lay the clipping out to dry on a flat surface.
