More indulgent than baked potatoes, more elegant than macaroni and cheese, potatoes au gratin are a perfect accompaniment to hamburgers, pork chops, and much more. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray. Slice potatoes into 1/4″ slices. Layer half the potatoes to cover the bottom of the baking dish. Slice onion into 1/4″ rings and layer evenly over potatoes.
