How Do You Make Pop-Up Cards With A Silhouette?

0

It’s not difficult to include a silhouette of your favorite person or pet in a hand-made pop-up card. A birthday card featuring a silhouette of a grandchild would be a terrific keepsake for grandma or grandpa. The best silhouettes, created from digital photos, are made from action shots. A young baseball player at bat, a costumed ballerina on pointe or a beloved pet dog catching a Frisbee will pop up from the card when opened. Take an action shot of a child, adult or pet on the digital camera. Download the photos on the computer and print them on the printer. Cut out each action figure from the photo with the scissors. Trace the figure on black construction paper and cut it out. Cut a piece of colored card stock in half, widthwise. Fold each piece in half, lengthwise, to create the inside and outside of the card. Cut a 1-inch line through the fold of one card, one-third of the way up from the bottom of the fold. Cut a parallel line 1 inch above the first cut to make a tab. Fold the tab
