How Do You Make Playdough At Home?

Playdough is one of our most favorite things to do at our house for kids of all ages. Even my 10 year old will spend hours kneading and shaping this wonderful dough. It is great for open ended play and so easy to make with ingredients from your own kitchen. Here’s how to make playdough at home. Combine the flour, salt and cream of tartar in a large saucepan. Mix everything together well. In a 2 cup liquid measure, combine the water, vegetable oil and koolaid. Pour into the saucepan. Cook over a medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat. Knead the playdough a few times when it has cooled down. Store it in a large ziplock bag. Be sure to replace your playdough frequently as germs can be spread through the constant touching. Use different colored Koolaid to make different colored playdough according to the season e.g. Orange playdough for Fall/Halloween. Playdough is easy to make in your own home and makes for hours of fun!
