How Do You Make Plastic Yogurt Container Drums?

0

Do you have a little aspiring musician? Need something for your tots to do on a rainy day? In a few simple steps you can create your own set of drums. All you need is a few empty yogurt containers, some glue, scissors, construction paper, a plastic straw and creativity. Remove the lids, empty the yogurt containers, and clean them out with warm, soapy water. Dry the containers thoroughly. Put the lids back on the containers. Use the scissors to punch a small hole in one side of each of the containers. Wrap construction paper around the outside of the containers, using glue to hold it in place. Be sure to cut a hole in the paper at the same spot as the hole in the side of the yogurt container. Insert the plastic straw into the hole you made on one of the containers, and glue it in place. Insert the other end into the hole in the other container, cutting the straw to fit, and glue this end as well. The yogurt containers should fit closely together, like a set of drums. Play your drums!
