Pinwheels for Peace is a project expanding throughout the USA and into the schools. It is culminated on September 21 the International Day of Peace. To make a pinwheel you should use cardstock or poster board about the size of a regular sheet of notebook paper, approximately 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 ” Using a ruler draw a line from all four corner towards the center but stop about 4 inches from the middle. Using the scissors cut this line on all four corners. Fold the right side of each of the four corners into the center. Push a brad through and open brad to hold corners together. Take the thumb tack and push it through the center of the pinwheel into the pencil with an eraser and sharpened point. If you want to extend the length attach to a thin long dowel rod and tape it together but this is optional. Tape the back of the pinwheel onto the pencil and extend tape a few inches out on each side for a good strong hold. Now write these four words on the corner that is still extended…Peace, Hope
