How Do You Make Perfect Spaghetti And Meat Sauce?
This spaghetti and meat sauce recipe is a family favorite. When my husband and I married 25 years ago, his idea of spaghetti and meat sauce was to boil the noodles and put a jar of ragu on top of the noodles. After I made this recipe, he understood what real spaghetti and meat sauce is and never wants the spaghetti and meat sauce with ragu. When I make this dish, the aroma is all through the house. Saute hamburger, onions in chicken fat or other shortening. Drain the fat. Add whole tomatoes, 1 can tomato sauce, 2 cloves garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and sugar. Put on high heat until it starts to boil and then put on medium heat for 1 1/2 hours. Boil the noodles and drain well. Put the noodles in a large bowl. Pour the Spaghetti sauce on the noodles and mix well. Then mix in the tomato paste.
