How Do You Make Perfect Play Dough?
Kids love to play with play dough. It is a fun activity that effectively builds fine motor skills and encourages imagination. I have tried different play dough recipes, and I finally came up with one that makes the “perfect play dough.” It’s so quick and easy that your kids can help you make it! Combine the water, oil, and food coloring in a saucepan. Bring these ingredients to a boil. Remove pan from heat and stir in the salt, flour, and cream of tartar. The dough will look lumpy and have uneven coloring. Place the dough onto a cutting board and let it cool for 10 minutes. Be careful, it is very hot. Knead the dough until the lumps are gone and the color is even. If you want a young child to participate in making the dough, have them help you with this step! Now the dough is ready to be played with. Give it to your kids and let them be creative!
