How Do You Make Perfect French Press Coffee?

0

There are many ways to make a cup of coffee and everybody’s got a favorite. Mine is the French Press. After years of trial and error, countless conflicting opinions, and even a few heated arguments, here is the method I’ve come to rely on for consistently tasty French Pressed Coffee. Boil cold, fresh water. I use an electric kettle because it’s fast and efficient. Stove-top kettles are fine too. The important thing is to use water fresh from the cold-water tap. Warm water from the tap comes from your house’s water heater, which affects the flavor. Grind your beans properly. Your ground coffee should look like coarse sand. If it’s too fine, it will result in muddy coffee; too thick, and you won’t get all the flavor out of it. I get my beans ground when I buy them. As long as I use up my coffee within about 5 days of purchasing it I notice no difference in “freshness” between grinding them every morning myself and getting them ground the day I buy it. Pour the boiled water into the Frenc
