You can make restaurant style chicken fried steak at home in 30 minutes. It takes a little practice to perfect, but you can use these basics to get great results for a perfect chicken fried steak! First, you need to thaw and pound out your cube steak. You can do this with your hands. Place the cube steak on a cutting board or other flat surface and pound it with a vertical fist. Pound the meat until it’s about 1/4 inch thick. Next you need to make the batter and egg mixtures. First find two flat containers (plates will work, but make a bit more of a mess). Make sure the pounded steak will fit. In the first container, add the canned milk and egg; whisk together with a whisk or fork. In the second container you will add the ingredients for your batter.
