How Do You Make Paper Link Chains To Decorate A Christmas Tree?
Nothing brings back childhood Christmases like long, linked paper chains. It’s still a great project for kids – and the paper selection has improved over the years. Choose the paper. Chains look best if they incorporate a mixture of colors and textures, and the more choices kids have, the more excited they get. Cut the paper into strips. Narrow, short strips make beautiful, delicate chains but are hard on little fingers; 1 inch by 6 inches is a good size for kids. Set the paper up in piles (or bowls) according to color – gold here, red there and so forth. Put glue on one end and loop the piece back to form a ring. Insert another piece of paper through the ring, then put glue on one end and loop around to make the second link. Continue until the paper’s all gone or you can’t stand it anymore. Allow the glue to dry before hanging the chains on the tree.
