How Do You Make Paper Flower Embellishments For Scrapbooking?
You can make beautiful flowers for your scrapbook at a fraction of the cost of the pre-made items available. Make flower parts in different colors and sizes for your embellishments. You can glue individual flowers on journaling boxes or photo mats. You can also make clusters of them to enhance a title or use them as a border. Trace flower shapes on scrapbook paper or cardstock using a stencil. You can also choose to use punched flower shapes or draw shapes freehand. Cut out or punch out the petal shapes you have chosen. Place layers of the petals, one one top of the other. Experiment with two colors to see what effects you like. Spread a piece of freezer paper or wax paper on your work surface and place flower parts on it. Glue layers together. The paper will keep the flowers from sticking to a work surface. Choose your flower center. Use a tiny paper punch or piercing tool to poke a hole in the center of the dried paper flower. Push the end of a brad through the layers and secure it.
