How Do You Make Paper Bead Jewelry?
Making jewelry out of paper is fun for all ages and saves the environment. Use colorful pages from magazines, church bulletins, or any other source. Choose colorful paper and cut into triangles, waves, or any shape really. They can also be any length. Experiment. You can even use your own artwork. Look through magazines for colorful pages and coordinate color schemes for your finished product. My father-in-law was from Nebraska and used to use old church bulletins. He made jewelry for all his family. So it is not a craft just for girls. Men and boys can have just as much fun. Roll the pieces of cut paper around a toothpick. Put white glue on about 2 inches as you roll and on the end. Let dry. Then cover with Mod Podge or any shiny finish for shine. Let dry overnight. When dry make bracelets or necklaces with stretch string or any type of string or chain. Use as you would any bead. Simple, easy, and creative. Great for most ages.
