How Do You Make Oven Roasted Pumpkin Seeds?
Have you ever wondered if there is anything you can do with all those seeds you pulled out of your pumpkin when you were making a jack-o-lantern? Pumpkin seeds make a great Autumn snack. Plus, they are full of fiber nutrients. Below is a recipe that I first tried at school when I was in kindergarten. Ever since then I look forward to roasting pumpkin seeds at Halloween. First, you will need to cut the top off the pumpkin. To do so, use your knife to cut down into the top of the pumpkin (at a slight angle) all the way around the stem. Remove the top of the pumpkin, and set it aside. Reach your hand into the pumpkin, and pull out the seeds. Place the seeds in a medium sized bowl. After you have removed all the seeds, pull off any long strings of pumpkin that may be attached to the seeds. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. Place the seeds in a thin layer on a baking sheet. Drop small pieces of butter (approximately 2 tablespoons of butter for 2 cups of seeds) on top of the seeds. Place the
