How Do You Make Oven Fried Potatoes?
Fried potatoes are a Southern comfort food. Frying them on top of the stove takes too much oil. Frying them in the oven is much healthier and they are just as delicious… The first thing you do is preheat your oven to 425. Wash the potatoes and thoroughly dry them. You can use any kind. Russet, red skinned, Idaho etc. You can peel them or leave the peel on, your choice. Quarter the potatoes lengthwise and then cut them into chunks about 1/2 inch thick and about 1 and 1/2 inches wide. Spray your pan with a non stick spray. I also use a non stick pan. Place the potatoes in the pan and add the olive oil and your favorite seasonings. Mix well and spread the potatoes out in the pan. ( If you prefer, you can mix the seasonings, oil and potatoes in a bowl and then place them in the pan). I omit the bowl. For the seasonings I use seasoning salt, garlic powder, kosher salt, pepper, paprika and parsley flakes. Use about 1/4 teaspoon of each seasoning for 4-6 medium potatoes. Bake for about 25-3
