How Do You Make Outside Christmas Decorations With Tomato Cages?
One way to show your holiday spirit is to beautify your front yard and your home with exterior Christmas decorations. Neighbors and passersby love to walk or drive past houses with imaginative, brightly lit decorations, and you will love the warm and inviting feeling they give your home. Store bought outdoor decorations can be costly, though, so consider making your own. You can make a bright, shining, attention-grabbing display with little more than an inexpensive tomato cage. Fill a planter with soil or sand. Turn a tomato cage upside down so that the wide end is at the bottom and the narrow end is facing up. Place the tomato cage into the planter. Cut at least three sections of wire, three or four inches each. Bend the wire into “U” shapes and use the pieces to secure the bottom of the tomato cage into the soil or sand.
