I discovered this sugar cookies recipe in one of my tried and true recipe books, The ABC’s of Recipes with P. Buckley Moss. In 1995, the Springfield Ohio Star Chapter produced the recipe book I’m referencing. Sue Hunt submitted this recipe, titled Old Fashioned Soft Sugar Cookies. The directions from the original recipe are included in their entirety, but I have added some of my own verbiage as well. These cookies aren’t as sugary sweet as most sugar cookies, but instead have a “light” flavor with a bit of cinnamon on top. They’ve always been a big hit with family and friends.
