How Do You Make Old Fashioned Hard Candy?
• Pour 2 cups sugar, 2/3 cup light corn syrup, and 3/4 cup hot water in a small saucepan. If you’re using a candy thermometer, (which is highly recommended) make sure that the pan is small enough for the bulb to be submerged in the solution. • In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup and water. Stir over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved, about 5 minutes.
