How Do You Make Oils For Dressing Candles?

0

Dressed (rubbed with oil) candles can be used for a wide variety of personal, religious, and spiritual ceremonies and rituals. It’s easy to create your own oils for those rituals. All you need are a few tools and a place to store the bottle Using the mortar and pestle, grind the herbs, dried flowers or mixture of your choice into a rough powder. Whole herbs and flowers can be used but ground herbs take less infusing time. Slowly add 2-3 oz of oil to the herbs and stir. Pour into the bottle. Store the bottle in a dark place for 3 days. After 3 days, check the bottle. If the scent has infused enough then you’re done. Otherwise strain the herbs out of the oil with the cheesecloth and add fresh. Keep the bottle in the dark for 3 days. Check again. Repeat the previous steps until the oil had acheived the desired scent strength. Once the scent is to your pleasure, strain the oil one final time and store in a cool dark place.
