Fruit and nut bars are a healthier option than chocolate or candy for those looking for something sweet. Use any type of dried fruits or nuts you prefer or happen to have on hand. The dried fruit in these is naturally sweet, and you need less additional sugar than in candy or dessert bars. The nuts will provide lasting energy, while the dried fruits will give you an instant boost. You can pack several of these bars into your camping pack to keep you going on the trail. Place the parchment paper on the inside of the baking pan and trim it to cover the bottom and insides of the pan. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
