How Do You Make No-Nonsense Tuna Salad?
For somebody who appreciates tuna flavor and not into masking natural flavors with spices. This is very easy recipe and again, always, you have to start from quality ingredients. Choose your canned tuna wisely. The bigger can usually have better ratio fish to broth and better quality chunk of fish. You can also combine one 6 oz can of tuna packed in oil and one 6 oz can of tuna packed in water. They compliment each other, oil packed tuna preserves a different subset of nutrients. Open and drain your tuna. Transfer it in a bowl and mix it with a fork, before adding any other ingredients, making small even flakes out of solid chunk of tuna. Dice the onion in small cubes and celery in thin crosswise dices. Add vegetables to a bowl and mix lightly. Season with crushed pepper, then lemon juice and finally mayo. Mix well and chill before serving.
