How Do You Make New York Cheesecake?
This smooth, rich classic dessert is irresistable. New York Cheesecake is known for being dense, creamy and totally decadent. Make this for your next dinner party and you are sure to impress your friends and family. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Beat together the butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add 1 egg and beat well. Slowly add 1 1/4 cups flour. Divide the dough in half. Cover and refrigerate one section. Press 1/2 section of dough into the bottom only of a 10-inch springform pan (sides should be removed). Place the pan bottom on a cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool. Attach the sides of the pan to the bottom. Press chilled dough onto the sides of the pan about 2 inches up from the bottom. Set aside. Increase the oven temperature to 450 degrees. Combine cream cheese and 1 1/4 cups sugar in a bowl and beat until fluffy. Add in 1/4 cup flour, remaining eggs and 1 tbsp. vanilla and beat until smooth. Stir in 1/2 cup of the sour cream. Pour into the prepared crust
