There is nothing better than making your own sauce, here is an easy spaghetti sauce recipe the whole family will enjoy! First cut 1 garlic clove in thin slices and cook it for about 3 or 4 minutes in 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a small pan pan. In a large pan, add 1 small can of good quality tomato paste and 2 cups of water, stir until well mixed. Next, add the oil drained from the garlic, but discard the garlic. Simmer for around 1 1/2 hours. When this mixture becomes thick, add to it 1/2 cup of cold water and let it simmer, stirring constantly. In another pan, clean and slice about 1/2 pound of mushrooms and cook them in 2 tablespoons of olive oil for a few minutes. Add the mushrooms to the tomato sauce mixture and cook this for another 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Spaghetti: cook according to directions on the box, serve spaghetti on individual plates and cover each with the sauce and top with grated Parmesan cheese. It’s delicious!
