How Do You Make Multicolored Holiday Crayons?
Parents are always looking for an inexpensive, creative project for the classroom or home, or to contribute to the school holiday party. Here is a dirt cheap, superfun idea that the kids and teachers will love. Have kids peel any paper off the crayons and break up into chunks. (Don’t they always want to do that anyway??) Mix the different colored chunks together to distribute colors. Fill up cupcake pans with crayon chunks. Bake at 250 degrees for ten minutes, or until crayon has melted together. Remove from oven and let cool completely. After cooled, remove shapes from pan. Smooth edges by rubbing along paper. DONE! Put in ziplock bags, tie with a ribbon and distribute to the whole class! The kids now have their very own, homemade, multicolored crayon to experiment with!
