Buying coins on ebay can be much more profitable than buying coins at a coin show. Coins on ebay can often be purchased at wholesale prices and you can thus save funds. If you attempt to sell or trade a coin at a coin show, the coin would sell or trade for retail value. Look at the Official Blue Book for US Coins for wholesale prices. Coins on the internet on ebay typically sell for the value in G rather than XF for example. Capped bust halves and seated liberty quarters are good examples of this. I bought two XF seated liberty quarters for about $20 each that graded XF. I traded them for $120 worth of coins at a small coin show. Old coins (pre-1930 in my opinion)are much more desirable to dealers than more modern coins. Capped bust halves in XF typically sell for $75 to $100 more at a coin show than on ebay. Despite some scratches this coin would probably sell for about $100 more at a coin show if it is original. Now you can create more business faster and save money!
