One of my fondest childhood memories was coming home from school and experiencing the heavenly scent of my mom’s chocolate cake. When I was in junior high….I think they call that “middle school” now….I started paying attention to the magical ingredients that went into this splendorous dessert, and as I recall, even at the tender age of 13, I was delighted to discover its simplicity.
