How Do You Make Medieval Warrior Costumes?
Medieval warrior costumes come in handy for Halloween, school projects, conventions and medieval fairs. Such costumes can be found in almost any costume store, but they are usually expensive. One way to save on the cost of a medieval warrior costume is to make one at home. Although this may seem like a difficult task, it’s actually quite simple to do. Cut a piece of red fabric that is as wide as your shoulders and 2 1/2 yards long. Hem the fabric 1/2 inch all the way around the edges. This will form a tunic. Fold the fabric in half, bringing the shorter edges together. Cut a 6-inch hole for the collar in the middle of the fold. Hem the collar under 1/2 inch. Make a “chain mail” hood by cutting a piece of silver or grey fabric that is 36 inches long and 24 inches wide. Fold the fabric in half (right sides together), bringing the two longer edges together.
