How Do You Make Meatballs In Grape Sauce?

0

Really easy sweet and sour meatballs. Great for cover dish suppers, picnics, works super in a crock pot! Mix the hamburger, dry bread crumbs, minced onion, milk, egg, minced parsley (or parsley flakes, if you don’t have fresh parsley available), salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Shape the meat mixture into 1 inch meatballs. Roll the meatballs in the flour on the plate, and then set them aside. Melt the shortening in a frying pan. Brown the meatballs in melted shortening (for a healthier recipe, you could substitute the shortening with vegetable, canola, or corn oil). This should be heated on medium high until hot. Remove the meatballs from the frying pan, and drain, or place them on a paper towel on top of a newspaper to soak up any excess oil or grease. Heat chili sauce and grape jelly together in a large pan or crock pot. Add meatballs, and simmer until hot, at least 30 minutes to let flavor soak into the meatballs.
