How Do You Make Maracas With Paper Plates?

0

Anyone with young children knows how much they like to create things with their own hands. Home-made maracas are a fun and easy craft that can be made with items you probably already have on hand. Children like making their own music and these maracas let them beat out their own rhythm while not being too loud for a parent piece of mind. Take a paper plate and lay it on a flat surface with the well of the plate facing up. Pour a handful of dried beans onto the paper plate. You can use any beans you like, pinto beans work great as they’re small enough to move around inside the maraca yet large enough not to leak out when the maracas take a beating. Place a second paper plate on top of the first with the back of the plate facing up and the well facing down. This creates a hollow space between the two plates where the beans are. Take your stapler and making sure the edges of the plate are aligned; staple them together at regular intervals. Be sure to use enough staples that you don’t leav
