How Do You Make Macro Photography Set Up For Less Than $20?
It was very easy to do this. It doesn’t cost much, and you can take very good macro photos. Go to Home Depot and get eight (8) pvc pipes (mines are 15 inch long), and eight (8) 90 degrees elbows. You will need fabric, preferably cotton because of its transparency, for the top and sides. For the background you can use any other color, I used my son’s black cotton shirt. Put them together as shown in the picture. You’ll need 2 lights of equal intensity, both at the same distance and angle from the subject. Your image will appear flat. To add some texture, you need one light angling across the subject from the side and the other close to your camera. That will bring out any crease and ridge. Now it’s time to experiment. You can also use different types of light , like halogen, or even photo studio umbrellas that you can find on ebay for as less as $50.
