How Do You Make Low-Fat And Easy Sweet Potato Chips?
Sweet Potatoes are much healthier than regular white potatoes. However, anything fried will have a high content of saturated fat and should be avoided. Here’s how to make a healthier, but equally yummy, version of popular sweet potato chips. Preheat oven to 450 degrees and wash sweet potato thoroughly. You can peel them, but a lot of nutrients are found in the skin so I prefer to keep them unpeeled. Cut sweet potato slices – you’ll want to cut each slice fairly thin, I’d suggest 1/8″ slices if possible. Spread out slices on cookie sheet or jellyroll pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Spray slices with cooking spray and season with salt, pepper, and cajun seasoning (I prefer Tony’s). Cook for about 10 minutes, remove from oven, and flip chips.
