How Do You Make Lipstick Last All Day?
Long lasting lipstick can make lips feel dry and the lip color can crack, peel, or flake. With just three simple steps, regular lipstick can be transformed into lipstick that lasts for hours. Apply the lip pencil to dry, clean lips. Outline the entire mouth first, then fill in the lip color with short, lightweight strokes. Choose a color that matches the natural shade of your lips over one that matches the exact color of lipstick. Using a lip brush or directly from the tube, apply a single layer of lipstick. A lip brush is helpful for applying darker colors, such as red lipstick or a deep wine lipstick. Blot lightly with a tissue. Apply a thin coat of loose or pressed powder to the lips. Avoid using too much powder. The first layer of lipstick should still be somewhat visible after the powder has been applied. Then coat the lips with another thin layer of lipstick.
