Halloween is one of the most creative of all holidays, as children and adults alike go wild with decorations and costumes. Instead of the old plain bowl for handing out candy this year, try a glowing bowl that’s simple to make. Use a utility knife to cut a hole just larger than a quarter in a plastic Jack-o-lantern basket. The hole should be just above the base on the back side of the basket. If you cannot find the right basket, any large plastic bowl will do, as long as you can cut a hole in the side. Place a string of Christmas lights into the Jack-o-lantern and run the plug out of the hole cut in the basket. Gather the string of lights tightly and place a small clear glass bowl over the top.
