How Do You Make Lighted Gift Boxes?

0

Looking for cute but easy holiday decorations that you can make yourself? These lighted gift boxes are simple to make and will add a little flair to your festive decor. Follow the steps below to add a few more “gifts” around your tree. Start by inserting batteries into your strand of lights (if not already in place). Assuming your box is either one that has a separate lid and bottom or has a hole in the top, place the strand of lights inside the box, taping the battery casing to the inside of the box to prevent extraneous movement. If your box is not already decorated, you will next want to cover it with the wrapping paper and other embellishments (covering the two piece box separately or leaving the hole open in the tissue box). Now, simply poke the bulbs on the strand through the sides of the box (from inside to outside) in whatever pattern you like. Corners generally work well. You may need to poke through the box with scissors first to create the initial holes for your lights. Fina
