How Do You Make Lemon Iced Tea Just Like Lipton?

0

In my opinion, the perfect iced tea wouldn’t taste very much like Lipton’s. Lipton’s is too sweet, and they put too much lemon in it. Yuck. But, everyone has their own taste. If I were trying to duplicate it, I’d start by using Lipton’s cheapest teabags. Use theirs, not another brand. Boil some water, fill about 10 cups, and put 10 teabags in. Take one out every 15 or 30 seconds, and label each cup so you know how long the teabag stayed in. That way you’ll have teas of varying strength. My guess is their bottled tea is on the weak side, but you’ll have to test it yourself. Once you get the strength of the tea right, then add way too much sugar and some lemon juice from one of those yellow squeeze bottles. The trick is to approach the project systematically. You can’t just guess hope to hit the bulls-eye.
