How Do You Make Lemon Cut-Out Cookies?

0

These are delightful and delicious, lemony cut-out cookies. They are fun to decorate with French Silver and Red Dragees – those pretty silver and red tiny balls that really make the cookies stand-out among other cookies. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except flour; beat with electric mixer until well blended. Beat in two and one-quarter cups of unsifted flour. Mix well until all ingredients are blended together. Divide Dough in half. Wrap each half in plastic. Chill Dough in refrigerator for at least one hour. On a well-floured surface, kneed one dough portion into a smooth ball. Roll dough to approximately 1/8″. Cut dough into various shapes with cookie cutters. Place cut-out dough pieces one inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 7 to 10 minutes. Cool on cookie rack. Repeat with remaining dough. While cookies are cooling, decorate with silver and red Dragee decorations. If desired, ice cookies with Lemon Glaz
