How Do You Make Leaded Glass Dollhouse Windows?
Dollhouses are often lovingly made by friends and families for lucky children. Some of these dollhouses are so well made that every detail is replicated in miniature to make the house seem even more real. Older Victorian style houses often had leaded glass windows as essential elements in their design. The dollhouse maker can replicate these colorful windows using the right tools and a little bit of time. Choose the window design that will fit the window you will be working on. Tape the pattern to your work surface. Tape your glass to your work surface over your pattern. Trace the lines of your pattern using a tip pen from FolkArt ® Enamels™ Accessories – Tip Pen™ Set. The tip pen should be attached to a Gallery Glass ® Liquid Leading™ bottle. These small tips create very fine lines and can be traced directly onto the glass. Allow the leading to dry for 8 hours.
