Step 1 Spread the fabric onto a flat work surface with the wrong side facing up. Step 2 Place the lamp shade on its side at a corner of the fabric. Step 3 Roll the lamp shade along the fabric. As you roll, trace the outline of the lamp shade onto the wrong side of the fabric with the fabric pen. Be careful to begin rolling at the seam and finish rolling when you reach the seam of the lamp shade again. Step 4 Remove the lamp shade and set it aside.
