How Do You Make Knot Fleece Blankets?
There are a few different ways to make knot fleece blankets. I will try to go over all the different ways I know. These blankets are great for people who do not know how to sew and make a wonderful gift. Cut off the selvage on edges of the fleece, this is the bumpy wavy edge. Along the length of the blanket mark even spaces one inch apart. Mark two inches in. This will be how spaced out and how deep your fringes will be. Cut the fringe being careful to be sure it is evenly cut. For the classic knot fleece blanket: Cut the fringe 4″ deep. Lay two pieces of fabric lined up with the front (if there is a difference) on the outside. On one side of the blanket tie over hand knots (using one fringe from each fleece.) Tie these knots on every other fringe around the entire blanket. Flip the blanket over and tie all the reminding fringes with overhand knots.
